Our Organization

The Huntsville Madison Private Schools Association represents more than 20 private, religious-affiliated or independent schools located in the Huntsville and Madison communities of northern Alabama. The lower student-teacher ratio in our schools, traditional and alternative curriculum offerings, and special school mission statements provide parents and students a variety of education alternatives in preschool through high school. Many of these schools administer standardized testing programs, such as the Stanford Achievement Test, to evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching and curriculum.

Our organization works on behalf of all schools in our organization to support teacher education, provide community resources, and promote special events that benefit our students.

We invite any private or charter school in the Huntsville Madison area to join our organization. Administrators may attend the scheduled monthly meetings of the association. Our annual membership dues are $230 per year, per campus, due on October 1 of each year. We also pro-rate membership dues for schools that join mid-year.

We consider private preschools (infants–pre-K) in Huntsville and Madison County for membership on an individual basis. Current officers will consider the preschool’s curriculum, licensure, and accreditation status in making a determination of membership. All other requirements of membership (i.e. dues, attendance) shall apply. We will notify preschools of the officer’s determination of membership no later than four weeks after application.
